Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Kick off your visit on the 11th (Mon): get engrossed in the history at Senator John Heinz History Center and then immerse yourself in nature at Point State Park. On the next day, look for gifts at Larrimor's, get engrossed in the history at Cathedral of Learning, and then tee off at Birdsfoot Golf Club.

Savannah to Pittsburgh is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Located near the memorial park marking the site of one of the largest Civil War battles, the town of Gettysburg sits in a landscape of rolling green hills with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.
Get some cultural insight at Association of Licensed Battlefield Guides and Shriver House Museum. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Gettysburg Diorama and Horseback Riding Tours. Change things up with a short trip to Jan Zell Wines in Chambersburg (about 44 minutes away). There's much more to do: take an in-depth tour of Gettysburg Seminary Ridge Museum, contemplate the long history of Eisenhower National Historic Site, have some family-friendly fun at Victorian Photography Studio, and do a tasting at Adams County Winery.

The heart of Pennsylvania's famous "Dutch Country," Lancaster is one of the nation's oldest inland cities, founded in 1730.
On the 16th (Sat), hunt for treasures at Lancaster Central Market, hunt for treasures at Bird in Hand Farmers Market, then get a taste of the local shopping with Wilbur Chocolate Co., and finally identify plant and animal life at Wolf Sanctuary of PA. On your second day here, examine the collection at Choo Choo Barn, then get engrossed in the history at Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, then relax in the rural setting at The Amish Farm and House, and finally wander the streets of Amish Country.

Drive from Gettysburg to Lancaster in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and train. Expect a daytime high around 81°F in June, and nighttime lows around 62°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Sun) so you can take a train to Philadelphia.
