Kick off your visit on the 13th (Tue): look for all kinds of wild species at Kasaguadua Natural Reserve. On the next day, explore the striking landscape of Bosques de Cocora.

Step out of Bogota with an excursion to Catedral de Sal in Zipaquira--about 50 minutes away. The site of the continent's first Spanish colony, Cartagena retains much of its colonial flavor thanks to a World Heritage-listed old town, encircled by old walls and protected by imposing fortresses.
Get outdoors at Playa Blanca and Arrecife Boat Rentals. Do some cultural sightseeing at San Felipe de Barajas Castle and Las Bovedas. There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Walled City of Cartagena, make a trip to Plaza de San Diego, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Sanctuary of Saint Peter Claver, and gain insight at Plaza Santo Domingo.
